Peas Roll

Makes: 16 pieces
Prep time: 15 minutes
Cook time: 25 minutes



  • ½ tsp fennel seeds
  • 2 cups frozen peas
  • 4-5 green chilies
  • 1 tsp ginger paste
  • 1 tsp garlic paste
  • 1 tsp dry roasted spice powder
  • ¼ cup cheese
  • 1 puff pastry sheet thawed
  • 1 ½ Tbsp vegetable oil


  1. Preheat the oven to 180 centigrade.
  2. In a blender or food processor grind peas , along with green chilies and little bit of water to make paste.
  3. In a cooking pan, heat oil, add fennel seeds stir for few seconds to enhance the flavor.
  4. Add ginger garlic paste,stir and add peas paste, cook for few minutes to reduce moisture from mixture, add salt.
  5. Add roasted grounded mix spices, give a good mix, remove from heat,to let it completely cool.
  6. Lay the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and roll it out just a tiny bit, about ½ inch on all four sides.
  7. cut into four squares and then each square in half on a vertical, so you have 8 rectangles from each piece of puff pastry.
  8. With your rolling pin roll each piece of puff pastry to get accurate rectangle shape, then place 1 Tbsp of peas mixture on center, top with shredded cheese and brush  all four edges with water or Egg wash, then wrap it like a spring roll ( for better explanation check the video).
  9. Place them on a parchment paper lined baking tray and little bit oil.  Note: if you are using Egg wash, brush egg wash for nice color. 
  10. Bake for about 10 to 15 minutes. ( Depending on the Oven).
