Tomato khejur amsatta chutnye - Recipe by Foodie's HutTomato khejur amsatta chutnye

Serves: 5-6

Time to Prep and Cook: 15 minutes

  • ½ cup fine semolina
  • ⅓ cup of sugar
  • 1 tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 2 -3 ghee
  • 1 cup milk
  • ¼ tsp freshly ground cardamom powder
  • ¼ cup of mix chopped  nuts ( cashew, pistachios, almond) and raisins

  1. Add ghee into the preheated frying pan or skillet, let it melt over medium-low heat.
  2. Add chopped nuts to the melted ghee and let them fry over medium-low heat for about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Then add semolina and stir with a spatula to mix everything together and cook for about 2 minutes, so that semolina develops a good golden colour.
  4. Add half of milk, pour the milk and stir quickly, otherwise the mixture will form lumps.
  5. Add sugar and mix well.
  6. Add the rest of milk, sprinkle cardamom powder and continue cooking until everything well combined. It will take 2-3 minutes.
  7. Remove from heat and transfer to a ghee greased plate. Once cooled cut into pieces or serve the way I demonstrated in my video. Enjoy!!
