Kacha golla Sandesh

Kacha Golla is a popular sweet originated from Bangladesh, this is a soft & moist sweet.

  • 1 Cup Fresh Chhana/Chenna(Cottage Cheese)
  • 1/2 Cup sugar
  • 2 Tbsp unsweetened condensed milk
  • 1 /2 ┬átsp ghee
  • 1/4 tsp cardamom powder
  • Cashew and pistachio powder


  1. Add the chhana and sugar in a food processor. Pulse 3-4 times. OR
  2. Place the chhana and sugar in a wooden board. Coarsely mash them by hand and transfer into a bowl.
  3. Add ghee in a heavy bottomed or nonstick pan, over medium heat. When the ghee melts, add mashed chhana and cook for a few seconds or until the sugar releases water from the mixture.
  4. Add condensed milk, cardamom powder and cook for 2 minutes, or until the mixture no longer sits at the bottom of the pan. Transfer the mixture into a bowl.
  5. When mixture is Luke-warm enough to touch, form little balls using your hand.
  6. Sprinkle Cashew and Pistachio powder over the balls.
