Lunch Thali # 1 – 01 Jan 2018

Happy 2018 my foodie friends! 

We spent the last weekend of 2017 at Sovereign HillBallarat, a place full of history!  We did a Goldmine tour; the mine tram ride was an excellent experience! We experienced the Australian life in the 19th century! A great place for the kids and a family too!

Those who follow my Bengali vlogs they know we prefer to pack our kid's lunch for travel, my friend cooked Daal and Bhaat for kids, and I prepared Pasta for lunch, lamb kofta curry for dinner! Because I am a big fan of the prep-ahead meal, so I cooked a little extra kofta curry and kept it in the fridge. I had some boiled Masoor Daal in the refrigerator as well! All I did today, just cook the rice and fry Okra!
The meal is ready within 20 minutes!

The first lunch thali of the year-

  • Bhaat (steamed rice)
  • Fried Bhindi (Okra)
  • Cumin Onion tempered Masoor Daal(Red lentils)
  • Lamb kofta curry
  • Aam Bhapa Doi (Bengali style Mango Baked Yogurt)
